Esperante, the jewel in
the crown, an AA awarded restaurant with a Mediterranean
influence. Rich terracotta tones, rustic browns and olive
greens coat the room and enhance its dramatic Tuscan
atmosphere. The menu provides a combination of the flavours
and cooking styles of the Mediterranean using the finest,
local Scottish ingredients. The menu is enhanced with an
exciting variety of wines and champagnes from the
Mediterranean basin. A fine dining experience, the
restaurant has an intimate feel with a relaxed atmosphere.
Two Courses, the
Torrance and the Kittocks were opened in 2001. The Torrance
Course has since completed a series of further improvements
and opened again in the Summer of 2009. It is a Final
Qualifying Venue, when the Open Championship returns to St
Andrews in 2010.
The Kittocks follows
its path around the cliff tops only a few miles from the
Town. It does combine an absolute seaside setting (with
stunning views of the Firth of Tay) with creative modern
golf course architecture. It is one of the very local
Courses where buggies or carts are standard.
